Frost Wind Ensemble
Gary Green, conductor
Svet Stoyanov, percussion soloist

The South Florida Classical Review describes the Frost Wind Ensemble as “dazzling” and NY Phil’s principal trombonist Joe Alessi commends their “unmatched wind ensemble playing.” Now, Director of Bands Gary Green brings the Frost Wind Ensemble to powerful new heights as they perform Percussion Concerto by Pulitzer Prize winner Jennifer Higdon, guest composer, spotlighting formidable percussionist Svet Stoyanov.  The ensemble also performs the newly commissioned Point Blank by fast-rising contemporary composer Paul Dooley, guest composer. Meet the composers during a pre-concert Q&A and be among the first to hear their fiery new works!

Also included on the program is Paul Hindemith’s Symphony in B-flat, one of the most revered pieces ever written for wind bands.
