Jazz Around the World

Performing at Aventura Arts & Cultural Center (Feb 22 - Feb 22)

Runtime: 1 Hour 20 Minutes

Synopsis

Jazz around the World is a musical trip through the world of jazz, touring the Swing, Latin Jazz, Tango Jazz, Bossa Nova and Blues; evoking artists such as Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Jobim, Gershwin, Louis Armstrong, Cole Porter, Ella Fitzgerald and Piazzolla.
If you are a lover of this genre, you will not be able to resist getting on this plane, which will travel across many countries. Mabel Minuchin (vocals), Pablo Porcelli (Sax) and Eugene Grey (Guitar) with his Quartet will be our guides.
The adventure begins with three classics of the Jazz golden age (30s): "All of me", "I Got Rhythm", "Makin Whoopee", to then, get into the tropical climate of Brazil with a Bossa Nova.
The journey becomes more romantic when the band plays "Quizás, quizás, quizás" and the rhythm begins to rise with the song "Sway".
The repertoire chosen, whether or not the genre of jazz, is adapted (with the necessary arrangements) to sound like one.
We continue the journey to Spain with "Granada", a version with lyrics in Spanish and English with great attitude. And after that beautiful version, we visit France with an instrumental called "Sous le ciel du Paris".
Next stop: Liverpool, land of The Beatles. Here we will expect "Something". Next destination: Italy to enjoy "Tu vuo fa l'americano".
We make a stop in Buenos Aires to listen "Tango-Jazz": "Libertango" and "Nostalgia". But don´t be sad because our last stop is New York with "Cabaret".

**VIP tickets include a post show glass of champagne at the theater with the company.
