Synopsis

CIA's Grantees on Parade is the 15th Annual Awards Presentation event for Citizens Interested in Arts, a renowned local charity committed to keeping arts alive in South Florida. The emcee is concert, cabaret, nightclub and Broadway singer David McBride, whose modern interpretations of Great American Songbook classics from Sinatra, Bennett, Buble and more garner great reviews from audiences everywhere. McBride headlines a roster of performances by grantee winners Florida Grand Opera, GableStage, Miami Children's Chorus, Orchestra Miami, The Bluegrass Association of Florida, City Theatre Summer Shorts, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida and others, all of whom are leading South Florida dance, drama and vocal companies. Guests include television, recording and cabaret artist Judy Scott (a CIA member). Other highlights include awarding of grants to 30 South Florida artistic organizations by CIA Grants Committee members Dr. Dorothy Koreman, CIA Founder Gloria Muroff, Florence Werner and President Emeritus Lenore Toby-Simmons. A bruncheon preceeds the show and begins at 11:30 am. All tickets to the 1:30 pm Performance include the pre-show Bruncheon.

(CIA) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to preserving the visual and performing arts in South Florida and is organized solely for the purpose of providing grants to qualified members of the South Florida artistic communtiy.
