Synopsis
Radio personality, stand-up comedian, comedy writer, singer-songwriter, author, actor & basketweaver Jackie "The Joke Man" Martling is best known for having been a long-time cast member and head writer of the legendary Howard Stern Show from 1986-2001. He can currently be heard on SiriusXM satellite radio, hosting "Jackie's Joke Hunt" on Howard 101 Tuesdays at 7 pm EST, and his comedy is frequently featured on SiriusXM Raw Dog.
First hitting the comedy stage in 1979, Jackie's been a national headliner since the early 80's. He released his newest DVD, "A Safe Distance From Genius," in 2008, and his sixth Oglio Records comedy CD, "snart," in April 2010.
Featured as himself in The Howard Stern Show Paramount film "Private Parts," Jackie has appeared in many independent films & television shows, including the much-heralded comedy documentary "The Aristocrats," John Gray's award-winning independent film "White Irish Drinkers" and TNT's Leverage.
"Jackie Martling's Disgustingly Dirty Joke Book" (Simon & Schuster, 1998) sold over 30,000 in hardcover and 30,000 in paperback.
Partnered with EB Excalibur, Jackie has also created a line of joke-filled electronic gadgets for children as well as adults, available in fine stores internationally.
Also to Jackie's credit is Use Your Finger! (516) 922-WINE, the world's longest running joke line, which just celebrated it's 30th fun-filled year.
In 2009, Jackie was named to the advisory board of Rock and Wrap It Up!, a global think tank devoted to reducing poverty, and was recently honored by "Tuesday's Children," a charity that gives aid to the families of the victims of 9/11.
Jackie boasts a catalog of over thirty joke products...CD's, videos, books, electronic joke gadgets & joke by-products produced by his own JokeLand, Inc. He divides his time between Manhattan and his seaside home on Long Island, New York.

A 175 seat theater located in Jupiter, Florida. Shows include theater, Improv and Sketch Comedy, stand up comedy, Dance, live music and independent film. Each month shows include: Stand up comedy with nationally touring stand up comedians, Improv and Sketch Comedy with The Jove Comedy Experience, an award winning comedy troupe.
