Celebrated singer-songwriter and funk-blues artist Dr. John is a six-time Grammy Award winner and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. His recent Grammy winning projects include Locked Down, Tribal, and City that Care Forgot. Among his iconic hits are “Right Place Wrong Time,” “Down in New Orleans,” “Blues in the Night,” and “That Old Black Magic.” A pianist and guitarist, his music combines blues, pop, jazz as well as zydeco, boogie-woogie and rock. The Frost School of Music's annual music festival called Festival Miami provides superior and diverse musical programming each year, while expanding academic opportunities and cultural enrichment to all of South Florida and its visitors. It’s a musical experience no one should miss.
