An Americana folk concert the whole family will enjoy! If you haven’t heard The Okee Dokee Brothers—2013 Grammy Award winners in the Best Children’s Album category and two-time Parent’s Choice Award recipients—you are in for a rollicking treat. Originally from Denver, two witty singer-songwriters, Justin Lansing on banjo and Joe Mailander on guitar have garnered praise from the likes of NPR’s All Things Considered and USA Today. Their Grammy winning CD, Can you Canoe? was inspired by a month-long adventure paddling down the Mississippi River. They will also perform new songs inspired by recent travels on the Appalachian Trail.
All children are invited to dress in Halloween costumes and enjoy an after-concert A-B-C party: Apple juice, Balloons and Cookies.
Presented in collaboration with Sunday Afternoons of Music for Children.
