LAST CALL

Performing at Empire Stage (Apr 12 - May 6)

Runtime: 1 Hour 15 Minutes

Synopsis

Terri Girvin is a NYC actress/comedian & world-class Bartender. LAST CALL is the World Premiere of her one-woman show which takes place during one chaotic bar shift. Two worlds collide when our Terri's needy and quirky customers fight for her attention as she deals with a barrage of desperate phone calls from her self-medicating, about-to-be-homeless mother. A typical day in a bartender's life is full of snap judgements and snappy comebacks, but on this night Terri is forced to choose between coming to her mothers rescue....or her own!

The setting for LAST CALL is the NYC bar where Terri works. Throughout the evening we watch her as she serves her many customers while the barrage of calls from her homeless mother prompt vivid flashbacks of her unconventional family. To accomplish all this in a one-person show, Terri has enlisted Tony nominated director, MICHAEL LEEDS and Grammy nominated sound designer, PHIL PALLAZZOLO to bring the evening to life.

Michael Leeds has enlisted some of South Florida's most talented actors to supply the voices of the dozens of quirky customers that Terri has to deal with as well as the members of her family. And while there are no actual bottles or glasses, Phil Pallazzolo's amazing sound effects combined with Terri's extraordinary acting ability enable the audience to see every drink she pours, every check she rings up, and every customer she throws out!

LAST CALL is tour de force theatre; A funny yet poignant evening you will long remember!
