When you've lost everything, is there a place you can go back to?
Manabu Yazaki, who left his hometown in Haokkaido 13 years earlier, had big dreams of success in Tokyo. Losing his high-class lifestyle as well as his marriage, he returns home in midwinter. There his elder brother Takeo, who manages a stable for "Banei horserace," a sleigh-pulling race unique to Hokkaido, takes him in. Through a series of events and new found relationships, long hidden emotions surface, and the two brothers come to grips with the gap that has separated them over the years.
"Masterfully directed, Director Kichitaro Negishi captures the idyllic and relaxed setting of Hokkaido while subtly building emotional momentum centering around hope, acceptance, forgiveness, and redemption."
-IndieFlix Official Selections
