Undeniably the reigning virtuoso of the violin, Itzhak Perlman returns to the Broward Center for an intimate new recital performance on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. in the Au-Rene Theater. Recipient of 15 Grammy® Awards and four Emmy® Awards, Perlman enjoys a superstar status rarely afforded classical musicians. A master of baroque, classical, romantic and modern music, Perlman also has delighted audiences with everything from the brave old world of klezmer to the limitless frontiers of jazz and beyond. His performances are "everything one wants a violin sound to be," wrote veteran critic Andrew Porter in The New Yorker.
