The Russian National Orchestra will perform on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 8 p.m. in the Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.  Vasily Petrenko leads the Orchestra in a program which features Barry Douglas on piano and includes: Rimsky-Korsakov's "Capriccio Espagnol Op.34;" Tchaikovsky's "Piano Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op.23;" and Rachmaninoff's "Symphonic Dances, Op.45."  Since its founding in 1990 by conductor and pianist Mikhail Pletnev, the orchestra has created more than 70 recordings and won a Grammy® Award in 2004 for a charity recording of Prokofiev's “Peter and the Wolf.”
